Project Engineer: Underwater Acoustics

Our client is an international group of companies specialising in the design and manufacture of acoustic instrumentation, the conduct of large scale and complex acoustic recording projects and numerical acoustic modelling of underwater sound. They are looking for a PhD qualified Project Engineer to work as part of the UK team based in Hampshire.

Candidates will require a very strong academic background (to PhD level) in Physics / Maths / Acoustics / Engineering. A track record in the use of technical software will be important as the role will require the successful candidate to apply existing software skills and learn how to apply new bespoke software tools. You will be proficient with the complexities of coding and apply a logical approach to problem solving and manipulating large volumes of data in a variety of software applications.

The projects vary from seismic survey modelling, offshore wind and solar, to offshore floating rigs.

This is a technically demanding role operating at the cutting edge of science. As such, we are seeking applications from only PhD graduates.

There are excellent opportunities to progress for the right individual, as well as overseas travel.
