Acoustic Consultant: HOME-BASED (Midlands / South of England)

We are looking for an Acoustician with around 3 years consulting experience for this home-based position. Skills and experience sought -:

• Degree or Masters in Acoustics, or a STEM degree with a PGDip in Acoustics
• Good communication skills and ability to write concise, clear and accurate reports
• Experience of planning and undertaking noise surveys
• Building Acoustics – experience of acoustic design for residential, offices, schools and healthcare developments
• Environmental Acoustics – experience of BS 4142 Noise impact assessments and planning stage noise assessment for residential and commercial applications
• Experience of assessments for BREEAM Hea 05 and Pol 05
• Experience of sound insulation testing and on site acoustic testing
• Experience with CadnaA noise modelling software, particularly in BS 5228 Construction Noise Assessment
• Experience using room acoustic calculation software such as CATT or ODEON
• Location is flexible, however south of Birmingham is preferable.
