  Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audio Visual Designer to join their multi-discipline practice in their London studio. You will be working with a brilliant team of creative and technical designers on some incredible projects in the entertainment and sports sectors. We are looking for someone with experience of leading Audiovisual designs for unique venues, venue design projects, and has a passion for associated technical systems and technology. Candidates will ideally have experience in AV infrastructure design (data / power / containment requirements), knowledge of broadcast systems, knowledge of specialist displays, interactive AV, immersive audio, project mapping – along with production of detailed design drawings and system schematics

Environmental Acoustician (Consultant – Senior): Leeds

Our client is an independent multi-discipline environmental consulting firm who are looking to add an Acoustic Consultant to their team. This role would best suit a candidate who has around 5 years consultancy experience and is looking to step up to a Senior Acoustic consultant role. The workload will be incredibly diverse, but would suit someone who has predominantly delivered work across a range of environmental noise projects. You will be involved in multiple schemes across energy storage, wind, hospitality, healthcare and managing complex noise nuisance cases for housing associations. You will be involved in some site work, and will be expected to lead on projects. Experience with CADNA modelling is essential. The role does offer flexible working - you will typically work in the office 3 days per week, with some home working and site work for the remainder.

  Our client is a large multi-discipline global consulting firm who are looking to recruit an experienced acoustician who has demonstrable consultancy experience at Principal level (or an experienced Senior Consultant ready to make the step to Principal). Your background should cover all areas of Acoustics - but extensive experience of delivering multiple and sometimes complex Environmental consultancy projects is key. In role role as main support to the Acoustics team leader, you will be expected to manage multiple projects to deadlines. The workload is incredibly varied and interesting, so no two days will be the same. You will get involved in all aspects of consultancy work (site meetings / report writing / fee proposals / noise modelling). Candidates will possess Corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA), a relevant degree linked to Acoustics along with a minimum 7 years of experience in acoustic consultancy.   This is a fabulous opportunity to work for an independent multi-discipline environmental consultancy from their offices north of Manchester. Working alongside the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading a small team of Acoustic consultants whilst helping to steer and develop the Acoustics business unit moving forward. The team are involved in all aspects of acoustics work such as battery storage facilities, residential schemes and mixed use developments. The team conduct site noise surveys and assessments in line with legislation (BS8233 / BS4142, BS5228) - the majority of the work is repeat business from a loyal bank of clients. Must have skills and experience for this post -:
  • Building Acoustics detailing and design experience
  • Experience of writing complex noise chapters for large EIAs
  • Staff mentoring / management experience
  • The ability to cultivate client relationships and win work
  • You will hold a relevant degree (Acoustics / Physics / Science) and hold Corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics
  • You must possess your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence.
Candidates must reside (or easily be able to move to) the North West area (Manchester / Lancashire areas).
